Training and development programmes
We grow with our people. We believe that the real engine of our growth are our people: their talent, their skills, their ability to innovate. That is why we invest in their training and development, because building great works means, first and foremost, building great teams.
Through an integrated training and development model, we accompany our people along growth paths aimed at enhancing both their technical and managerial skills, in line with the individual's personal characteristics and potential.
Our courses are dedicated both to training of our employees and to training and for the induction of new professionals.
We offer basic and specialised training courses through two dedicated centres: the Trade School, aimed at workers, and the Professions School, designed for staff profiles. These courses are designed to foster vertical technical skills training specific to various roles, while ensuring compliance with our high technical, quality, environmental, health and safety standards.
Our Leadership Model guides the development of our managerial skills: a guide to inspire and refer to in working life.
We also use assessment, coaching, mentoring and job rotation programmes to better define and develop individual growth paths in line with one's aspirations and business challenges. We support skills growth and development by consolidating these skills with on-the-job training and action learning activities.
To facilitate learning, consolidation and knowledge transfer, we have developed specific training tools and programmes, such as the Learning Academy, dedicated to all Group employees; and the Global Managerial Academy, aimed at people already in key or growing roles in the company.
We believe in the value of knowledge sharing, which is why we support and promote knowledge management programmes aimed at improving processes and tools for exchanging expertise within the Group.
This is a path of continuous growth, which develops with our projects, our goals and, above all, with our people.

Training in numbers
We carried out initiatives, development programmes and created tools for organizational growth, by continuing to contribute to training of our people.

Training and leadership

Skilled workers
Webuild opens "Scuola di Mestieri" (Trade School): We train the new generation of skilled workers
The Webuild "Scuola dei Mestieri" (Trade School) is a professional path that combines theory and experience on the construction site. It aims at training new generation of skilled workers and to integrate then in the Group, with the security of a stable employment and tangible career prospects.
Webuild Learning Academy
The Learning Academy is the training academy of the internal resources of Webuild. Open to all Group people, both juniors, entering the work arena for the very first time, and seniors, the Academy was launched in 2015 to promote a new training model guided by the expertise of our resources, with the aim of strengthening skills and competencies, and sharing knowledge throughout our organization. The Academy's programmes and initiatives contribute to our people's professional specialisation and managerial growth, by also promoting the development of their key competencies.
"Academy" trains colleagues who are experts of specific topics ("subject matter experts") through our "Train the Trainers" programme. Through workshops and ad hoc programmes these people will finally become our internal trainers, promoting and sharing our internal corporate knowledge. Our objective is to create an internal teaching pool (Faculty), with a common teaching method and style.
The main training programmes provided by the Academy concern induction paths on company policies and procedures for new hires, the Compliance area (Administrative Responsibility of Entities pursuant to Legislative Decree no. 231/2001 and Anti-Corruption), the Health and Safety area (with the innovative "Safety Builders" program), language learning, the main areas of technical expertise related to business and economic-financial issues, Human Rights, team building and managerial development initiatives.
The programmes also take place through the company E-Learning Academy, which by exploiting the new digital technologies allows using different distance learning courses, therefore facilitating the sharing of the company's technical-specialist knowledge. The e-learning platform now hosts more than 80 courses, divided into 10 different sections. It aims at promoting a self-learning and self-study logic, leaving individuals the opportunity of creating their personal learning paths.
Investing in people, to grow
We believe that the growth of our business is driven by our people, who represent the technical, managerial and organizational know-how, and by the new talents attracted by the market. Valorising and promoting internal skills is a mainstream of Webuild's development and training policies.
