Milan-Naples High Speed Railway - Bologna railway hub

Construction of 7.4km of Railway double line with 2 tunnels 6.1km each (the distance between the axes of the two tunnels is 15m) and 1 cut and cover transition tunnels 200m length each  for the urban passage of the High Speed Railway Milan –Naples in Bologna railway junction. The new railway underground segment involves an urban area and it develops just close to the existing railway embankment then the tunnel excavation was compulsory to be carried out without hindrance to the existing railway traffic. The two tunnels underpass with a very thin cover two ancient buildings wthat, during tunnel excavation, were protected by a Compensation Grouting intervention.
