The project involves the design and build of new five-kilometre section road that links the Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Road to Umm Lafina island as part of Abu Dhabi Development Plan 2030.
Once completed in 2020, the highway between the islands of Umm Lafina and Al Reem will cross a mangrove reserve, where the Group will relocate and plant double the number of mangroves expected to be lost, following the sustainability principles that it applies at all its construction sites.
