Quadrilatero Marche Umbria is a new strategic infrastructure for the economic revitalization of the central-eastern area of Italy, in the areas among Perugia, Ancona, Civitanova Marche, and Foligno.

When completed, the new road system will fill the infrastructural gap of two regions, Umbria and Marche, which suffer from substantial isolation, with benefits also for intermodal transport and freight logistics, thanks to the strengthening of the connection with the Port of Ancona.

The contract covers the upgrading and extension of Perugia-Ancona section route (31 kilometers in total with 22 km of tunnels), as well as the construction of the new Pedemontana delle Marche road (approximately 36 total kilometers, with 5 km of tunnels).
