The main characteristics of the bridge are:
Total length 1,073 m
Road width 8.30 m
Pedestrian sidewalks width 0.95 m
Total deck width 10.20 m
The bridge has eleven 65 m spans, two 55 m spans, three 40 m spans long and a central 130 m span.
The central span was constructed using the “cantilever method” and consisted of a cast in-site post-tensioned concrete box girder with variable cross-section.
The remaining part of the deck consists of 40 m long pre-cast beams, standing on 16 piers with 12.50 m supporting cantilever corbels on each side.
The contract envisaged construction of the bridge together with hydro-geological, hydraulic, environmental, geo-technical and engineering studies.
