Tyndall Airforce Base (AFB) Rebuild
A strategic project to make the air base more functional and resilient to withstand future extreme weather events
Tyndall Air Force Base in Panama City, Florida, is home to the 325th Fighter Wing of the United States Air Force. The base was critically damaged in 2018 by Hurricane Michael, a Category 5 hurricane. The project, identified as a ‘Two-Phase Design and Construction Site Development and Utilities Phases I and II contract’, forms an integral part of a wider development and modernisation plan for the base, geared towards making it more functional and resilient to withstand future extreme weather events.
The project, carried out by Lane Construction (Webuild Group), includes the design and construction of road infrastructure, car parks, plumbing systems, wastewater and rainwater management systems, communication systems, fire protection system and other related works.
