Webuild: a "solidarity project site" with the community of Sant'Egidio (Comunità di Sant’Egidio).

PRESS NOTES

20,000 food packages being distributed throughout Italy to help people in need

Milan, December 22, 2021 - A "special construction site" has taken shape during this festive season thanks to the solidarity project with Webuild alongside the Community of Sant’Egidio (Comunità di Sant’Egidio): Solidarity activities for the less fortunate, consisting in the distribution of 20 thousand food packages to people in need, in 6 of the main Italian cities: from north to south, islands included. The packages will consist of basic foodstuffs, traditional Christmas products, and certified protective masks. A small gesture to help achieve the first of the Sustainable Development Goals: "No Poverty".

Christmas lunch with the poor is a traditional appointment for the Community of Sant'Egidio (Comunità di Sant’Egidio), which is confirmed, in different ways, despite the difficulties linked to the pandemic. 14,000 food packages will be sent to central and southern Italy, including Rome, Naples, Catania and Palermo. A further 6,000, will be distributed between Milan and Genoa. A big and virtual Christmas table, for an inclusive Christmas that excludes no one.

For Webuild, this collaboration with the Community of Sant'Egidio (Comunità di Sant’Egidio) is a tangible demonstration of the Group’s commitment and social role, a daily role in the areas where it works.
