Webuild among members of CDP Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index

NEWS

November 18, 2015 - Salini Impregilo is among the Italian leaders in the management of climate change, according to the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), the global platform that measures, compares and shares information about the environmental performance of nearly 2,000 companies worldwide. Our Group awarded a position on the Italian Climate Disclosure Leadership Index (CDLI), published in the CDP Climate Change Report 2015.

The Group obtained a 100/100 rating in the CDP’s climate change program, which is requested every year by 822 investors with $95 trillion in assets under management. This result shows the financial community the highest level of accountability and willingness to fight climate change, just ten days before starting the 2015 Paris Climate Conference, aimed to achieve a legally binding and universal agreement on climate, with the aim of keeping global warming below 2°C.

Salini Impregilo’s commitment to the environment comes to the fore in its 2014 Sustainability Report, which centres on excellence, shared growth, people care and environmental stewardship – four key areas on which our efforts have been focused.

The Report and the CDPI classification help our Group to convey a clear and unambiguous message that sustainability is not a complex and abstract concept but the result of the work we do every day in an ethical and professional manner. And this is shown in the most tangible way by these latest results.
