September 20, 2016 - Tunnel Business Magazine (TBM) handed SA Healy of the Salini Impregilo Group the “2016 Tunneling Achievement Award for Project Excellence” for its Lake Mead Intake No. 3 project, the latest in a series of acknowledgements of the Group’s excellence.

The project near Las Vegas, Nevada was recipient of the 2015 Global Tunnelling Project of the Year from NCE Tunnelling & Underground Space. It was also among the six finalists for the 2016 Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement award from the American Society of Civil Engineering.

TBM, one of the industry’s leading magazines, recognized the Lake Mead project for setting the standard for future tunnelling work under high water pressure.

It presented the award at the annual Breakthroughs in Tunneling Short Course at the University of Colorado, Boulder on Sept. 14, 2016.
