Big public attendance on last day of "Roma Silenziosa Bellezza" exhibit promoted and organised by Webuild and VIVE – Vittoriano and Palazzo Venezia

PRESS NOTES

ROME, Aprile 13, 2023 – The "Roma Silenziosa Bellezza" photo exhibit ended at the Vittoriano, after having been extended for two periods to allow members of the public to see its collection of photos of deserted Rome. Promoted and organised by Webuild and VIVE Institute – Vittoriano and Palazzo Venezia, with the aim of stimulating a debate on issues related to the idea of a liveable city, the exhibit enriched, for three months, the visitor’s experience at the Vittoriano, linking an unprecedented event (the lockdown of 2020) with a reflection on the need to ensure a sustainable and adequate development of cities, in a long-term systemic vision supporting Italy's competitiveness.

Since the exhibit's opening on January 20, more than 870,000 have visited the Vittoriano.

Families, students, residents and tourists visiting the Vittoriano were able to admire the more than 60 photos by Moreno Maggi, accompanied by videos and multimedia projections. It was a journey that gave back to the public a deserted and exceptional Rome, providing a new way of seeing art and the history behind the Eternal City's famous sites.

The exhibit was accompanied by a catalogue and photo album of the same name, "ROMA SILENZIOSA BELLEZZA", both published by Rizzoli on behalf of Webuild. A videomapping saw the main photos of the exhibit get projected onto the façade of Palazzo Venezia

“Roma Silenziosa Bellezza” is one of the Agenda Cultura projects of the Webuild Group, a programme that has been, for a few years already, aiming at bringing together infrastructure-related themes and the world of art, to bring out that common factor present in both of these areas: courage and the ambitious spirit of ideas.
