Webuild CEO Salini: investment in training and security to strengthen our culture of transparency and legality for entire supply chain that works with us

• The agreement signed today by Commander General of the Carabinieri Gen. C.A. Teo Luzi and Webuild CEO Pietro Salini

• Training for Webuild employees working in  areas facing complex issues, or in emergency management positions

• Webuild will train Carabinieri with regard to infrastructure-related topics

ROME, July 17, 2023 - Webuild and the Arma dei Carabinieri join forces to provide corporate security training and strengthen a culture of legality along the entire supply chain in areas that face complex issues. The Protocol Agreement signed today in Rome by Commander General of the Carabinieri Gen C.A. Teo Luzi and Webuild Chief Executive Pietro Salini will lead to the creation of a series of training activities that will help Group employees working in areas with security risks. It will also have Webuild share its accumulated knowledge in global markets and sector megatrends given its presence in more than 50 countries.  

“We are proud to work alongside the Arma dei Carabinieri and, more generally, public institutions because the law and security are founding principles of our activity in Italy and abroad. Any action to strengthen this culture must be supported," said Salini. “Big infrastructure companies like Webuild are called upon today to interact with an increasingly complex ecosystem that comprise companies, institutions, and research centres - even from a regulatory perspective, which require greater knowledge. The collaboration that we start today by signing this Agreement Protocol is significantly important if we think of how we could share in detail a culture of legality, expertise, and training investments even with the entire supply chain that works closely with the Group at its Italian and global projects," concluded Salini. 

The agreement will benefit both Webuild and Arma dei Carabinieri, foreseeing training activities to safeguard assets, personnel and infrastructure in areas that are potentially more exposed to risk. It will provide study and research activities in areas of common interest, besides sharing tools, equipment, technology and instruments aimed at these activities. 

The Protocol signed today is part of the activities that Webuild is working on to favour and develop, internally, an increasingly consolidated culture of security and legality. Among the initiatives, there are also the actions and management systems created to carry out signed Legality Protocols for current projects in Italy, developed in synergy with the contracting entities and competent territorial Prefectures.
