Webuild concert-event in Piazza Navona, Rome: the Accademia Barocca di Santa Cecilia celebrated public opening of Sant’Agnese in Agone Church Crypt
“Agnes in Lumen”, most recent "Agenda Cultura" initiative with which the group promotes culture and beauty in the territories where it works
Rome, April 23, 2024 – The musical notes of Vivaldi and Händel were listened to in the Sant'Agnese in Agone Church and within the entire Piazza Navona, in Rome, during the concert of the Accademia Barocca di Santa Cecilia, directed by the Maestro and solo violinist Boris Begelman, with soprano Sara Blanch, and trumpet player Andrea Lucchi. The Webuild Group-promoted concert-event was projected live on the façade of the Santa Agnese in Agone Church, to celebrate the recent restoration of the Crypt, and the intervention financed by the Webuild Group, in collaboration with the Special Supervisory Board of Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape of Rome, for enhancing the Crypt, where St. Agnes' martyrdom occurred, a place of prayer worshipped for centuries, through its artistic illumination.

The was thought to enhance the architectural and artistic features of the location, while also respecting the intimate atmospheres it evokes. The solutions used for the lighting were inspired by sustainability principles and the will to safeguard the works of art of the Crypt. But also, for reducing maintenance costs with the instalment of LED lights, with zero UV and low heat emissions, therefore guaranteeing that all artwork and frescoes are perfectly kept in their original state, while still providing the added bonus of vivifying colours and offering visual comfort to all visitors.
The ‘’ project is part of the larger "" programme through which the Group has already promoted over 30 exhibits and worldwide cultural events, publishing 19 books in the last decade. The most recent initiatives include the immersive exhibit in Australia on Leonardo da Vinci sponsored by the Group, which brought the Codex Atlanticus to Australia for the very first time, and the immersive installation "Building with Beauty: Naples' Art Stations" at the Scuderie del Quirinale in Rome, for the "Napoli Ottocento" exhibit.
