Light yet solid, transparent yet sturdy, sustainable  and innovative. All adjectives that the new Genoa Bridge  wears naturally. Together with the commitment, the passion, and the devotion offered by all the people who did the work, there is the form and the substance of a beautiful accomplishment, but above all a discreet one-which is how Renzo Piano imagined it-because it's as if bridge itself were asking for permission to blend in with Genoa's landscape and to enter the eyes of its citizens.

Over one thousand meters of viaduct, joined in a single  runway, supported by 18 piers resembling 18 giants  stroked by the wind. The color white, the section shaped like a ship's keel, and all its innovative features, from the eco-sustainability guaranteed by the solar panels and by a system that manages and recycles water, to the routine maintenance work carried out by robots and the innovative sensors used to monitor the state of health and safety of the entire structure.

These are the distinctive signs of a work that was born to heal a wound, and that has soon become a source of pride for the city and the country as a whole.
