Intesa Sanpaolo supports people, businesses for Italy’s recovery with its 2022-2025 Business Plan
“The Business Plan that Intesa Sanpaolo presented today serves as an example as well as a stimulus for the country’s industry to embrace change and renewal. It comes at an exceptional and historic moment in which Italy, for the first time in more than 70 years, returns to planning its development for the long term,” said Pietro Salini, Chief Executive of Webuild, following the bank’s presentation of its 2022-2025 Business Plan.
“The Plan recognises the demands of people and companies in a country that has to return to growing again and renew its trust in the future,” said Salini. “The measures that it is making available encourage us to make an exceptional, collective effort to work together: banks, institutions and companies to relaunch Italy in Europe and the world. It is an opportunity that, together with Intesa Sanpaolo, the whole country does not and must not miss.”
“This Plan shows that a so-called Sistema Italia exists, and it is moving to develop the country’s regions, supporting families and companies, and creating the conditions that support work and employment - the real priorities at the moment.”
“In a quickly evolving scenario, banks represent a fundamental lever to embrace – rather than succumb to - change, just like when Intesa Sanpaolo helped strengthen the infrastructure sector by working with us on Progetto Italia.”
“As Italian President Sergio Mattarella said: ‘to have strength and not to remain transitory the recovery needs planning, innovation, investment in social capital… a real leap forward in terms of efficiency for the Country System.’ The Intesa Sanpaolo Plan goes in that direction.”
