The simultaneous launch of 3 TBMs to relaunch the South of Italy

Apice (BN, Italy), July 23, 2024 - Webuild launched three new TBMs on the Naples-Bari and Catania-Messina Railway Lines to relaunch the South of Italy. Webuild is a globally leading group in underground excavations: in Italy, approximately 40 TBMs, 31 in the South.
Two new Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs) began excavating the Rochetta and Orsara tunnels along the Naples-Bari high-speed railway line in the Southern Apennines (Appennino Meridionale). A third TBM, used in Sicily, started excavation for the Taormina Tunnel on the Catania-Messina railway line.
Webuild is active in the South of Italy with 19 projects with 6,800 people at work. Approximately 850 people have already been hired since the beginning of the year in the South of Italy
