Rome Silent Beauty. The Eternal City reveals itself like never before.
The Eternal City reveals itself like never before. Rome projects itself to the world through its empty monuments, deserted squares, and roads free of traffic.
It is 2020, and the world is in lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Italian capital presents itself without its usual intermediaries: residents and tourists.
A photographer takes images that evoke sensations that are both stunning and profound. Until February 28, these timeless shots by professional photographer Moreno Maggi can be viewed for free at an exhibit entitled “” organised by Webuild and the VIVE Institute – Vittoriano e Palazzo Venezia.
Visitors will find themselves emersed in an emotional and intellectual journey through a Rome that has never before been seen in this way. The images will likely stimulate a constructive debate on issues like new concepts for a liveable city, urbanism and sustainable mobility. Come March, a book of the photographs bearing the same title will be put on sale by Rizzoli. It will also have words by Pietro Salini, Claudio Strinati and Massimo Recalcati.
Roma silenziosa bellezza.
