Webuild supports the Ingenio al Femminile Award

“Ingenio al Femminile. Storie di donne che lasciano il segno” (Ingenio Femminile. Stories of women who leave a mark) is a project of the Italian National Council of Engineers (Consiglio Nazionale degli Ingegneri), with the collaboration of Cesop Communication, which aims to enhance female talent and skills, in engineering, facilitating their access into the work arena. 

The 2021 award is aimed at new female graduates, in the 2019-2020 academic year, who wrote brilliant engineering theses on the "Sustainability in all engineering sectors to achieve the objectives of the 2030 Agenda" theme.

The Ingenio al Femminile award, in line with Webuild's strategy for achieving the SDGs, aims at contributing to achieving Goal no. 5 - "Gender Equality" – of the UN's Agenda 2030, therefore enhancing, encouraging and highlighting women in the technical field.

Why has Webuild decided to support the "Ingenio al Femminile" award?

"We joined this interesting initiative because inclusion and equal job opportunities are for the Webuild Group a way to increase its ability to generate value. And for this reason, we continue to invest in supporting diversity, in all its forms: gender, age, organizational, and cultural.

We want to help tear down the barriers, which are often linked to social stereotypes, and that still reduce female presence in the construction sector.

"Ingenio al Femminile" means just this to us: helping move forward to give voice to women in the technical field, through a STEM culture, while also looking at the challenges that we must meet to innovate the construction sector.
