The third Rome
The web-series, produced by Webuild, tells the story of the monumental area of Piazza Venezia, in Rome
The third Rome is a 5-episode web-series with art historian Claudio Strinati and contemporary art critic Nicolas Ballario.
The series is both informal and ironic and tells the story of the monumental area of Piazza Venezia, in Rome. While Claudio Strinati and Nicolas Ballario converse lightly in a cinema hall of the Casa del Cinema in Rome, images shot specifically in the key historical and artistic places linked to the topics of each episode flow by, giving new and unprecedented points of view to the spectator and helping him to better understand what perhaps he has always seen from afar, it has intrigued him, but he has never looked into it further.
Piazza Venezia and its infinite urban development, Palazzo Venezia and its mysterious and controversial history, the Basilica of San Marco, hidden in a corner of the square yet magnificent and full of treasures, the Victorian symbol of all of Italy, the real king of the square ignored by the Romans and loved by tourists, the Musei Capitolini , and Piazza del Campidoglio, the real center of gravity of the ancient and contemporary city.
Ten centuries of history and an immense construction site: that of Venezia Station and the new . A visual novel still in progress, told short episodes with irony, and high disclosure.
